The company primarily imports standard electronic scales, components such as loadcells, digital indicators etc., and to a limited extent “know-how” and software. The company manufactures under license to Mettler Toledo, the most advanced weighing company in the world.
The Company operates in South Africa from its Head Office in Johannesburg and a branch in Durban. Distributors are set up in Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Nigeria and Kenya, DRC, Swaziland and Mozambique.
Trek Scale has been in operation for the last 65 years with one owner marketing one product namely Mettler Toledo which is the biggest Scale Company in the World with the largest R&D for this industry.
- Five Road Test Units complete with Truck Mounted Cranes which have 100 ton of calibrated weights.
- In-house manufacturing with two robotic welding lines, design and drawing office to customer specific vehicle application.

Trek Scale prides itself on in-house training related to products as well as VO (Verification Officer) which is regulated by the Trade Metrology Act.
