Rail Weighbridges
The rail vehicle weighbridge design has been manufactured by Trek Scale for the past 25 years in-house using S355JR steel, robotic welders to ensure precision and quality.
Trek Scale Company is the only local ISO 9001:2015 manufacturer and supplier of rail weighbridges for rail vehicles in Southern Africa using no junction boxes and with each loadcell protected for 50 000 Amps certified lightning protection over and above the normal lightning protection.

Rail Test Units
Rail test unit fitted with 30 tons of calibrated weight and 30 ton of make-up weight, capable to testing Rail Weighbridges to 100 ton.
Please note:
- Weighbridges in South Africa cannot exceed 60 Tons, unless a Site-Specific Type Approval is sought.
- 80 Ton Site-Specific Type Approval(s) can be sought provided that the correct documentation is in place. The lead time for the project is 120 days after date of submission of the project to the regulator.
- Any additional charges related to Site-Specific Type Approval or General Type Approval (if applicable), will be for the account of the Purchaser.
